Returns & Refunds

1. The Cooling-Off Period

In accordance with the ECT Act, you are entitled to a "cooling-off" period of 7 days after receiving your gear. You may return any item for a full refund during this window, provided it remains in its original, sealed, and atmospheric packaging.


2. Eligibility for Returns

To qualify for a successful return, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • The request must be initiated within 14 days of delivery (excluding the cooling-off window).
  • The gear must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
  • It must be in the original packaging with all seals intact.
  • Proof of purchase (Order Confirmation email) must be provided.

3. Defective or Damaged Gear

We take the integrity of our hardware seriously. If your product arrives with a technical malfunction or physical damage:

  • Notify the us at hello@mydeskbuddy.com within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Provide photographic evidence of the damage and the packaging.
  • We will arrange a priority collection through The Courier Guy at our expense.
  • Once inspected, we will issue a replacement or a full refund via Stitch.

4. The Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected by our technical team, we will transmit an update regarding the status of your refund.

  • If approved, the refund will be processed back to your original payment method via Stitch.
  • Please allow 5–10 business days for the credit to appear in your account, depending on your banking institution.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable (except in cases of defective gear).

5. Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are excluded from our standard return policy:

  • Digital downloads or software licenses.
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Archive" (Outlet items).
  • Gift cards.

Return Logistics: Except for defective items, the customer is responsible for the courier costs associated with returning the gear to our Gauteng hub. We recommend using a tracked service via Bob Go or The Courier Guy.
